  • Erik Rowen

    PRESIDENT

    Erik has served as the President of McKibbon Places since its inception in 2019. A registered architect, he joined McKibbon in 2003 as a project manager, later serving as Vice President of Development, where he managed more than 35 award-winning new build projects for various hotel brands. Erik earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University and an MBA with a concentration in Real Estate from Georgia State University.

    His favorite aspect of his job is creating value for projects through guest experience, revenue generation, operational efficiency, and community engagement. Erik has a wife and three kids, and he enjoys skiing, hiking, and spending time at the lake with his family.

  • Wes Townson

    VICE PRESIDENT

    Wes has been with McKibbon since 2003, initially serving as Director of Acquisitions for McKibbon Hospitality. His current role focuses on site selection, brand selection, overseeing market analysis, and entitlements for new hotel developments. Wes has 45 years of experience in real estate development and has completed many hotel transactions in his time with McKibbon.

    He earned a Bachelor of Science from Columbus State University, a Master of City and Regional Planning from the University of Memphis, and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia Southern University. Wes and his wife have three children and seven grandchildren, and he enjoys tennis.

  • Brian Morgan

    VICE PRESIDENT OF CONSTRUCTION SERVICES

    As a child, Brian was fascinated with skyscrapers and always wanted to be in construction. After working his first job in construction at 16 years old, he’s never looked back. Brian obtained a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Southern Polytechnic State University and has over 20 years of experience in the industry. One of the things he loves about his job is how every day is different, and there are always a lot of unique challenges to solve.

    Brian excels at problem-solving and schedule and budget management. He enjoys spending time with his family and participating in outdoor activities such as fishing and camping.

  • Jason Acree

    VICE PRESIDENT OF PRE-CONSTRUCTION SERVICES

    Jason’s areas of expertise include Multi-Family, Hospitality, Commercial, and Industrial sectors. He has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, beginning with industrial construction after college. He holds a Construction Management degree from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Kennesaw State University.

    His favorite aspect of his job is solving all the challenges, from conceptual planning to construction to opening day. He and his wife have 2 adult kids, and you can probably find him watching NASCAR or playing the tuba.

  • Lisa Caskey

    SENIOR PROJECT DIRECTOR - RENOVATIONS

    One of Lisa’s favorite aspects of her job is being a part of a creative team transforming a hotel from old and tired to new and fresh. With over 19 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Lisa started working as a Marketing and showroom Assistant for a fabric distributor shortly after completing her degree in Interior Design.

    From there, she worked in FF&E Purchasing, which led to a position as an Account Manager for a multi-line FF&E firm, eventually landing at McKibbon, where she’s been since 2016. She loves Asian foods and traveling with her Boston Terrier, Luna Bean.

  • Jeffrey Whelan

    PROJECT DIRECTOR

    After 25 years of being an architect, Jeff returned to school, receiving a Master’s in Construction Management from Southern Polytechnic. He is a registered architect with over seven years of project management experience. Jeff enjoys taking a project from concept through completion and finds it very rewarding to see something that started on paper take physical form and come to life.

    He excels in architectural design and construction project management. Jeff and his wife have two kids. On weekends, he also plays in a classic rock band and enjoys classic movies and baseball games (Go Yankees!).

  • Ryan Cleary

    PROJECT DIRECTOR

    Ryan is an Auburn University graduate (War Eagle) in Business Administration and Management with over 20 years of construction, design, and development experience. He got his start in the industry right out of college, working for a custom builder in Atlanta, and eventually worked his way to becoming a Project Manager. After some time, he switched to the hospitality sector, working in project and construction management, eventually leading him to McKibbon Places.

    His favorite part of the job is seeing an idea come to fruition and feeling accomplished at the end of a successful project. Ryan shines at front-end development with local AHJs, as well as formulating and managing project teams from inception to completion. He and his wife are empty nesters, and he enjoys training and racing mountain bikes.

  • Orlando McRae

    PROJECT DIRECTOR

    Orlando has extensive project management and design management skills after spending the last 19 years working for three major hotel brands. He entered this industry indirectly after being recruited by Marriott as a Senior Project Coordinator for their select service team in Bethesda, Maryland.

    He enjoys many aspects of his job, including interacting with owners, designers, and consultants while coordinating all aspects of the project, including guest expectations. He also excels at design management and brand standards. Orlando has a bachelor’s degree in architecture and enjoys cooking for his wife and daughters.

  • Nicholas Posey

    ASSOCIATE PROJECT DIRECTOR

    Growing up on construction sites and driving tractors for his parent’s commercial grading company, Nicholas became interested in the construction industry early on. He spent his summers in high school building homes and later secured an internship as a Project Manager for the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, overseeing general contractors on a large-scale renovation project.

    Nicholas graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s in business administration and joined McKibbon Places soon after. His favorite part of his job is working collaboratively with people to achieve a united end goal. Nicholas enjoys boating, wakesurfing, and snow skiing in his spare time.

  • Hannah Craig

    ASSOCIATE PROJECT DIRECTOR

    After taking some courses in engineering in high school, Hannah was inspired to chart down the path of studying construction management. Being able to work with and develop a project from start to finish was her selling factor, and she recently completed her degree in construction management from Kennesaw State University.

    She started at McKibbon Places as a summer intern, was quickly promoted to Project Assistant, and has been with us for a year. Hannah excels at utilizing AutoCAD and has tremendously impacted how we visualize new development projects. You can probably find her watching The Princess Bride, knitting, or playing Dungeons and Dragons in her spare time.

  • Saige Jenkins

    OFFICE MANAGER

    Saige has a background in marketing, graduating from Piedmont College with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Sports Marketing. She entered the hospitality industry through her employment as a golf tournament coordinator in Key Largo.

    After being away from home for five years, she moved back to Gainesville and joined McKibbon, where she has been since 2013. Saige has always been fascinated with hotels and enjoys being a part of the process from start to finish. You can find her playing golf or working on her family farm with her partner and two kids in her spare time.

  • Caitlin Bates

    ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

    Caitlin has a background in art and design, graduating with a BFA from Savannah College of Art and Design. She dipped her toe in residential and commercial interior design before transitioning into the hospitality industry via art consulting and project management.

    As an Administrative Assistant, Caitlin wears many hats to facilitate the needs of the office and the team. From graphic design to marketing, she’s your person. She enjoys everything artsy, Harry Potter, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog.
