Dedicated to serving our communities

Community Service & Outreach Events

We’re not just interested in creating or renovating spaces; we’re also interested in investing in the communities we work in.

With every project we take on, we proudly partner with local charities and community organizations to further solidify that sense of community.

Exterior Beautification of Compass Point Village

Partnering with Homeward Bound of WNC, Beverly-Grant Inc., Rowhouse Architects, and McKibbon Hospitality, McKibbon Places participated in a clean-up & beautification event at Compass Point Village, which is a permanent supportive housing facility for individuals who have experienced chronic homelessness. This facility will host critical services such as medical and behavioral health clinics, job training, and ongoing case management.

Rock Mill Park Clean Up & Beautification

McKibbon Places partnered with the City of Alpharetta Public Works Department to help clean up and beautify Rock Mill Park. Rock Mill Park is a 20-acre park located on Kimball Bridge Road at the access point for Alpharetta’s Big Creek Greenway.

2023 Fulton County Point in Time Count (PIT)

McKibbon Places participated in the 2023 Point in Time count for Fulton County. This count is used to determine federal funding to address homelessness. The count data creates a "snapshot" of the scope and scale of homelessness, which provides policymakers and funders with critical information on the number and demographic characteristics of homeless citizens.

Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida, Walt Disney World Clubhouse

In conjunction with the construction of Hyatt House Orlando Airport, we spent several hours helping to beautify some heavily used outdoor areas at the Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida, Walt Disney World Clubhouse. With help from McKibbon Hospitality and Kellogg & Kimsey, we were able to accomplish mulching, weed pulling, and the construction of three outdoor sheds.

Partnering with Roof Above and JE Dunn, McKibbon Places invested in collecting items needed for the future residents of SECU The Rise on Clanton, which is a permanent supportive housing facility for individuals who have experienced chronic homelessness. Once items were collected, we worked together to build Welcome Kits that were placed in each room, waiting for the future tenant to use. These kits included bedding, cookware, crockery, cutlery, laundry items, personal hygiene items, among others.

SISU Integrated Early Learning

In conjunction with the construction of the Courtyard Gainesville in Georgia, we spent some time cleaning up a playground area and front entrance of the SISU Integrated Early Learning Center. SISU offers an integrated learning environment where children with special needs learn to interact alongside their typically developing peers. With help from Ecker Construction, we were able to accomplish mulching, flower planting, and some general maintenance tasks.

Elachee Nature Science Center

McKibbon Places and Beltan Properties took part in the cleanup of several trails at the Elachee Nature Science Center, in conjunction with the new construction of the multi-family development Treesort in Gainesville, Georgia. Elachee sits in the 1,440-acre Chicopee Woods Nature Preserve, one of Georgia’s largest protected and most ecologically diverse green spaces.
